Back to the Future IPA is the liquid representation of the Pacific Northwest craft beer community; a cross-border collaboration between Seattle’s Fremont Brewing and Portland’s Breakside Brewing. Fremont decided to brew this beer for Seattle Beer Week. This bromance beer is named Back To The Future IPA as a nod to the futuristic hops used in each of the releases; Jarylo and Ekuanot in Seattle and Azaaca and Ella in Portland. So, pop the top, pour yourself a little adventure and Chill Out as you ride Back To The Future on this magic hop carpet ride!

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy golden color with small head. To cut it short, this one, although recently released, tastes like a beer that has been sitting on a shelf for 1 year; the hops are completely dead, and the malt start increasing the cereal character.
Not a bad beer, not pleasant.

Draft - Nice sweet citrus, orange and tropical fruit. Pale gold with a nice white head. Up front bitterness, tropical fruits with a dry finish.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of piney hops, some resin, herbal and grassy notes. Flavour brings out herbal and grassy hops, and some feety notes. What is going on with the hopping here? Very strange, quite murky and not really all that inviting. Meh.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent gold with a slight white head. Aroma is very fruity, a bit exotic, and there’s a dank note. Med + body. Flavor is fruit, something dank, and arguably a detectable caramel backbone. Which has to be there to hold up the humongous amount of hop. Fruit, yes. Dank, certainly a little bit. Very, very pleasing.
