50cl bottle from a supermarked - enjoyed in a rented apartment in Katowice. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark dried fruits and caramel. Sweet, but quite well balanced. Enjoyed almost at room temperature. Nice Baltic porter.

Dark brown to cchestnut colour with a lasting tan head. Aroma of dark malt, molasses, caramel, a touch of charcoal, and a little vineous alcohol. Sweet and rich dark flavour of malt, coffee and molasses. Excellent for a Baltic porter!

bottle - Pours very dark brown and has a chocolate malt aroma with some but not as much roast as I expected. The flavor is fairly sweet with good chocolate character, a medium to full body, and a pleasant finish. It’s good but not a great porter.

From a 500ml bottle on 19/5/2012. Pours close to black with a medium head which disappears quickly. Has a strong aroma of chocoloate, caramel cola, and a touch of fruit. In the mouth, this is a real sweet one with masses of milk chocolate, some caramel, a touch of dark fruit (plums), and a slight roasty character. Not overly complex but extremely flavousome, and dangerously quaffable for 8.3%. Nice stuff.

[9/20/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Bottle outside the venue in Trzebiel, Poland. Black-colored with a light brown head. Aroma of coffee (some coffee liqueur), a bit of licorice and a bit of alcohol. Roasty alcoholic flavor with coffee and a burnt bitter finish. Full-bodied. Good.

500 ml bottle into snifter, no bottle date. Clear dark brown color with a dense 1 finger light tan head with nice retention, that reduces to a thin lacing cap. A nice amount of lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of big dark fruits, roasted malt, caramel, molasses, chocolate, coffee, wood, and a bit of booze. Nice aromas here with good strength and complexity. Taste of nice chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, and dark fruits; with a bit of wood and smokiness as well. Fair amount of bitterness on the finish that lingers with some caramel, and chocolate flavors with a bit of hop spiciness. Very malt forward, but also has a nice balance of all flavors. Medium bodied with a slightly higher than medium amount of carbonation. The carbonation does not really detract anything, and the beer still has a fair amount of creaminess in the mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden, only a small warming after the finish. Very good drinkability for 8.3% as well, nice and smooth. Overall this is a great Baltic porter, with a lot of complexity and nice balance.
