Bottle from Charleston beer exchange. It pours cloudy mahoganny brown with a small beige head. The nose is oily orange, tangerine, mango, pine, varnish, marmalade, fruit cake and butterscotch. The taste is rich, pine, varnish, marmalade, resinous, oily, fruit cake, fresh citrus and a touch of alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit boozy perhaps...decent.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a medium beige head that dissipates with nice lacing in its wake. Aroma is caramel, pine, citrus, floral. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, medium bitter, not a ton of character here. Bitingly bitter on the finish, with noticeable warming from the alcohol. Nice full bodied and creamy mouthfeel tho. This one was maybe four weeks old. I guess I need to try this ultra-fresh or quit wasting my time on it.

It pours a light copper red and yields the same color body with a nice haziness. A half centimeter white head quickly fades leaving extremely little lacing. The smell has the malts up front combined with some caramel, hops provide a decent background. The taste is the same as the smell with some lemon coming in. The palate has a dry sticky finish and aftertaste, and has about a moderate amount of harshness. This is pretty drinkable. Overall, I like it, the alcohol is well hidden in the taste, smell and mouthfeel. I’d come back to this one.

From a bottle past it's prime. Aroma has quite a bit of caramel malt character with a bit of cracker. A moderate amount of alcohol spice. The hop aroma has a touch of fruitiness but quite a bit of resin. Pours a dark gold, almost copper with a hint of amber. A small slightly off white head with fairly pour retention. Small legs and light lacing. Taste has caramel and quite a quick burst of an alcohol note. The caramel has a bit of a raisin and fig flavor. A touch of cracker. Some light fruitiness and low citrus notes from the hops. Moderate resin note. Lots of alcohol and assertive bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation. A bit of a silkiness to the mouthfeel. Moderately high alcohol heat and a bit of low hop astringency. Overall it's hard to judge this beer as its on the old side, but it was just sent to me so I am going to review it. I must say even if this beer had a ton of fresh hop aroma and flavors, the malt is too strong. The mouthfeel and body are too big. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a12 oz bottle shared with friends. Pours a cloudy amber with an off white head. Sweet hop aroma. Luscious hops. Bitter after taste.

Aroma: The nose is citrus hops, caramel, resin, pine, and booze
Appearance: Pours an unclear reddish color with a beige head and drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is medium-plus sweet, mid-heavy bitter, and somewhat boozy as well
Palate: The body is medium-plus, it feels fairly sticky, and has a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: Overall a very good beer that I was quite surprised to see I had not rated yet. Quite good and pretty hoppy, maybe a bit too sticky sweet, but that is a minor complaint. I'm sure my rating would be even higher from a fresh one, so I will have to re-rate.

Bottle shared. Pours clear amber with a small off white head. Aroma of massive pine and resin with caramel and citrus. Flavour is medium sweet and heavy bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
