Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow brown with a yellow brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains, dark fruits and caramel with some flora backing. Flavor has earthy dark grains with a bit of earthy dark fruits and roast.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is licorice and cocoa. Medium body, cocoa, roast, dry finish, very good.

Draft - Toast and cocoa. Jet black with a rich beige head. Toast, cocoa, touch of light sourness and milk notes.Earlier Rating: 1/22/2015 Total Score: 3.7Draft - Dark roast, cream and a tartness, deep jet brown with a decent light brown head.chocolate, dark fruit, funky sweetness and a berry finish. Odd but nice.

[3/1/15] Draught at Populuxe Brewing in Seattle. Dark amber-brown. Aroma of roast, chocolate and some dark fruits. Roasty and fruity flavor with some chocolate.

Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a dark muddy brown color with a coffee forward aroma. Medium body with a candy sweetness to it. Some cherry and plum hints behind some.chocolate. Clean dark fruit finish. Enjoyed this.

Cask at the brewery
The color is back, the head is very small. The mouthfeel is a bit oily, some coffee flavor (and aroma), light sourness (the plums?).
