Black color with medium sized head. The aroma has hints of chocolate, liquorice, smoke, English yeast. Lean body, moderately sweet; it reminds me a lot of strong English Ales, with a light sourish touch; also a lot of chocolate, some charred wood, nuts.

Growler, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of whiskey barrels, maple syrup and caramel. Flavour is a little different, with notes of smoke, whiskey, light maple syrup and caramel. Lightly smoky and not too sweet, though the maple syrup is quite prominent. Not really my thing, but it's made well. Solid.

Bottle - Dark roast malts and sweet dark fruit. Jet black with a nice brown head. Sweet dark roast malts with a sweet sugary finish and a touch of yeast. Not sure about the sugary sweetness.

Bouteille 750ml. Couleur noire opaque, mousse moka riche et tenace, huileuse. Arôme de malt torréfié, sirop d’érable, touche de levure, tire d’érable. Goût de malt torréfié, café, sirop d’érable, amertume moyenne, sucré, légère acidité. Carbonatation moyenne-élevée, corps moyen. Le côté saison est peu présent, mais cette bière est tout de même bien intéressante. En plus, c’est pour une bonne cause.
