Strong blonde around which John Martin’s fabricated a story about devils, a clear reference to Duvel, the standard in this particular style with which they are apparently trying to compete. Moussy, snow white, creamy head, bright golden blonde colour. Grainy aroma with sour apples, grapefruit, iron, grass, honey; taste a rounded fruitiness, bit corn-like, not too elegant sweetishness, metallic (maybe from a foam stabilising agent?), grainy, grassy finish with mild hop bitterness. Not even close to Duvel, if you must compare.

Review according to BJCP2008 guidelines (style 18D). Bottle 75 cl - Batch nº ? AROMA: slight esters present (pear); with some solventy aromas. no discernible floral hop aromas. light to very low malt aroma. APPEARANCE: medium gold color, very clear. white head with good retention and lacing. foam a bit coarse. TASTE: sweet malty flavour with a very slight note of pears. Medium bitterness that lingers in the aftertaste. finishes a bit dry. PALATE: high carbonation with medium body. slight alcohol warmth. Effervescent with no astringency and no solvent character. OVERALL: an average bulk Belgian strong ale, that could be better in the aroma and flavour.

Lukter malt. Minner om en lager. Noe uklar brun farge med masse fluffy skum. Smaker søtlig malt og er tynn og kjedelig.
