330mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a monstrous white head. Aroma of cookie, yeast, and various christmas spices (nutmeg, cinnamon). The cookies flavour stands out the most in flavour, with the spices (especially cinnamon) toning it toward the end and on the finish. Decent attempt here.

Bottle at Cambrinus in Bruges. Pours dark gold with a white head. Smells like gingerbread. Medium body with foamy carbonation. It is heavily ginger. There’s a hint of chocolate. Yum

33 cl bottle. Not sure if I got a bad version of this but it was close to undrinkable. Hazy yellow body with white head. Flavour is malt and cleaning detergents.

Bottled at 3rd Brugs BF. Hazy golden yellow, white head. Aroma of speculoos and typical Belgian blond ale notes with some coriander. Flavour is sweet, speculoos, light fruity, bit malty. Soft mouthfeel. Nice for a few sips, then becomes cloying.

Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels. Can’t claim to have been to Belgium w/o trying our famous Speculoos cookies. pours a hazy golden, thick white head. Aroma was overly yeasty, with candi sugar, cookie dough, some light citrus scent, and a typical nose that was reminescent of speculoos cookie. Taste, candi sugar, malty, cookie/bready, some honey like sweetness, finish with a light bittersweet palate. Lots of floating sediments. Could be better if the yeast just wasn’t too overwhelming.

bottle, pours hazy orange with a white head. Intrestingly hoppy nose. Sweet malt and candi sugar flavors with slight bitterness, but even the finish is sweet. The 8 percent is masked well.

Bottled at Horsens Beerfestival. Yellow/orange body with an off-white head. Aroma is spicy like ginger, cinnamon. Flavor is amazing; it’s actually like drinking speculoos cookies. It’s sweet and it’s really something extraordinary. Could probably not have to much of this, but I enjoyed my glass. Re-rated as a matured bottle. This is actually a very nice beer, the complexity is better when the spice flavor has been redused during storage.

A hazy orange amber ale with a thick white head. Aroma is chemical and unpleasant, like lemon pledge or Redoxon Vitamin C. In mouth, not as bad, with very sweet malt, but with a ginger overkill, yeasts and warming alcohol. Gets more intense as beer warms up. This is definitely a winter beer. BB 07/06/11.

[Courtesy of yespr, session @ yespr] Clear golden with large white head. Sweet fruity aroma with yeast and orange notes. Sweet flavor with coriander, yeast and orange notes. Ends sweet.
