Hazy pale golden colour, good frothy white head, good lacing. Fresh slightly sweet aroma, grain, yeast. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, yeast. Medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste taste, lingering mouthfilling bitterish finish.

Bottle, at John Bull. It’s an almost entirely clear one, golden in color and with a big, white head that lasts. Nice lacings. Fruity nose with a faint yeast note and white sugar. Apples and pears and a faint cellar touch. There’s a pleasant bitterness in the flavor, with fruits like apples and pears and some banana and lemon hints. White sugar and a herbal, lightly spiced touch. Full body, nice carbonation level, and quite dry. Lasting finish with a nice bitterness and some fruityness. A bit too much white sugar, especially in the aroma, but overall it’s quite nice. 131124

Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, yeast, sugar and dried fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long yeast fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Tap at De Paas, Den Haag. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a frothy long lasting white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is malty yeast. The flavour is medium bitter. Medium bodied with average carbonation. It’s a Pilsener but not too bad. Quite refreshing.

Draught. Slightly hazy golden colour with a big, white head. Sweet aroma with yeasts, herbal hops and fruits. Notes of grass and spices. Taste is light sweet. Medium body, creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes dry with herbal hops, spices and fruits. Good Belgian.

Golden coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall white head and tons of bubbles coming from the bottom - very nice! Aroma of hay, grass, yeast, alcohol and a touch of spices - very nice aroma. Medium-bodied; Very grassy and herbal flavours throughout with a bunch of hops noticeable at first, then fading to a yeast and woodsy finish with a saison and biere de garde flavour coming through. Aftertaste shows a nice dry final taste with a touch of light sugars, some subdued malty notes and a bit of pepper and spice - very nice. Overall, a well crafted beer with plenty of herbs, spices and dry notes! Definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this 33 cL stubby bottle purchased from de Bier Tempel in Bruges, Belgium on 14-August-2013 for €2,50 sampled in my hotel room here in Gent, Belgium on 16-August-2013.

Blond yellow pale colour. Easy drinkable blond ale. Bitter with some fruitiness (grapefruit) and a metallic aftertaste (typical for Roman).

Bottle, 6.9% at KØ13. Mild spicy aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is mild and spicy, coriander and all that. Reminds me more of a wit than a blond, but less refreshing than a wit, I suppose.
