Bottle at Hundholmen, Bod. Has a slightly hazy reddish brown colour with a small beige head that fades fast. Aroma of cherries, oak, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, red currants, raspberries and beetroot. Lots of berries in the flavour. Raspberries, cherries, oak and some vinegar and dried fruit. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. Filled with berries, well-balanced and nice.

Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Rodenbachs all taste pretty much the same to me; i need to visit the brewery and really line them up. Thankfully they all taste bloody awesome. Some off chlroine taste in this oen though. (21/8/18) --------- Bottle from Belgium, beer supermarket. 4.2 to 4.3. 2013 edition. Sour cherry winey oak barrel aroma. murky red. fantastic. (23/4/19) -------- Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Well, thankfully I have now kind of done what the first review asked. And Caractere Rouge is definitely the best for me. It balances the deep barrelly tastes of the Vintage with the light playful tones of the Alexander. Best looking one and best tasting. Kept at 4.3.

750ml bottle [shared with Maddie]. Wonderful, minimally cloudy, deep ruby colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, sulphureous head. Complex, slightly vinous, tangy, fruity, slightly woody, earthy and minimally floral-soapy aroma, notes of cherry, raspberry, lingonberry, plum, red and partially blue berries in general, a touch of lavender, black pepper, vinegar, balsamico. Taste is tart with sweet-ish counteroart, tangy, fruity, woody, slightly vinous, minimally earthy, notes of cherry, raspberry, plum, lingonberry, balsamico, hints of honey, morello, black pepper, raspberry vinegar etc.; prickling palate. Absolutely outstanding!

750ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a hazy amber-red with tiny bits of sediment floating around and a thin, short lived, fully dissipating, pink head. Sweet fruity aroma of raspberry, cranberry, cherry and oak. Sweet fruity flavour of cherry, raspberry, cranberry, red wine, balsamic vinegar and oak with a crisp, dry, tart, acidic finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and lively carbonation. Awesome, tasty and easy to drink. A world class Sour Red.

Pours a hazy caramel-amber colour with a light beige head that fizzes a lot leaving a little collar. Aromas of light sourness, apples, other fruits, caramel and hints of molasses. The taste is well-blended between the sour notes and fruitiness sweetness. Everything is so well-balanced. How is this even 7% ABV. it is so smooth. Another great product from this brewer.
