This slightly sour blonde is the result of a unique experimental combination of Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Pediococus Cerivisae from Wyeast Laboratories.

Pale orange. 2 finger fluffy head. Smells intently sour. Lots of tropical fruits. This is so sour. Coats the teeth with chalk. Tart mango and lime and lemon. Got very sour with age.

Thanks spacecoyote for the free beer. Pours dusty yellow orange with small soapy head even after all these years. Nose is puckering citrus and yeast. Tastes of grapefruit, peach, lemon peel, dough, slight musty, and gum. Puckering sour and drying finish, yum.

Struise’s tribute to the lambic culture, fermented with Brettanomyces bruxellensis and Pediococcus cerevisae, two of the most essential microbes ’used’ in lambic. A blonde, hazy beer with instable, loose head and an aroma which indeed strongly reminds of lambic, lemon, vinegar, soft bready malts, estery fruitiness; taste is somewhere in between a top-fermented blond Belgian and an authentic lambic or geuze, with funkiness, tartness and complexity, but also spicy and soft malty flavours, with a long and complex finish with drying sourishness. Very interesting and very thirst-quenching, great sour beer, but not quite an actual lambic.

Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Sour aroma, citrus, straw, lemon peel, yoghurt and bretty funk. Sour flavour, citrus, lactic acid and light acetic acid. Sour finish, citrus and lemon peel. Not the most complex sour, but nicely layered and it aged well.
(From 75cL bottle shared @ RBBSG II, Gent 2013. Batch one. From trade with Vincent (BelgBeerGeek) and opened on the spot to compare with the Bourbon BA Struiselensis. Thanks mate!)

33cl bottle. Unclear golden, thin white head. Apple, basement, fruity nectarine? aroma. Flavor has ripe apples, sourness, rhubarb like notes. Dry lasting finish. Tasty sour ale for sure.

750ml bottle if I remember correctly. Poured a pretty clear golden color without much of a head - wispy mostly. Aroma was some light funky tartness, touch of citrus. Flavor was nice funky tart notes. Crisp and easy to drink. Really liked it.

Sampled from bottle @ RBBSG II. Hazy yellow to light orange color, small white head. Lightly sourish aroma. Taste is sourish as well. There’s not much more to it really. Basically it’s just another quite standard sourish beer...
