Aroma is soft sweet grain, has a weak brownish copper body. Flavour is soft sweet malts and nothing else. Mouthfeel is full enough. It's correctly brewed but boring.

On tap at St. Augustine’s. Pours a clear copper. Aroma is malty and fruity. Taste is malty, caramel, with hippy (flowers) bitterness like in Czech lagers. Bready and bitter aftertaste. Quite good.

Draft - Caramel and sweet fruity esters with a touch of grain. Cloudy copper with a decent beige head. Caramel, grains and a light twiggy bitterness.

Owl Farm, Brooklyn tap: Pours brown with a tan head. Aroma is caramel malt, raisin, dough, and some hops. Taste is lightly bitter. It reminded me of an IPA that sat too long. It was kind of sweet. Sort of thick. This isn’t what I would want from an IPA, and it isn’t entirely what I want from a bitter either.

On tap. Pours a hazy dark copper with moderate head. Light aromas of toasted malts and grass. Flavors of dried powdered malts, grain and grass. Long bitter finish. Bitter bitter stuff

Bottle. Copper beer with a dark cream head. Light malt and light woodsy aroma. Citrus and malt flavor. Medium bodied. Citrus and malt lingers with light caramel. Nice balance.

Bottled sample. Pours a clear copper color with a thin foamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, raisin, mild floral hops. The taste is raisin, toasted malts, caramel, bitter hops. Medium bodied.

Poured from the tap. Clear medium brown with off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and mild hops. Same taste, medium body. Starts sweet grassy, ends dry bitter.

Liter fliptop from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark translucent copper with a rather yellowish head. Aroma is malty in a mildly roasted way. Not getting a lot of understandable hop aroma. Med body at least. Roasty malt. Hop seems more fruity than anything else. But it’s not light fresh fruit. This is fairly bitter ale. Seems to fit the style. Nice drink.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy dark amber color; medium sized creamy head. Mild caramel aroma and stronger caramel flavor; some residual sweetness like in all beers from Howe Sound; there is also a light yeast touch, both in the aroma and taste, to complete this Bitter. The bitterness is bold.
Achieved.
