Sample at Bob’s Bar for CCBW. Pours a brownish-black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Smoked malt, chocolate and peppers in the nose. Medium-bodied with flavors of charred malt, dark chocolate and subtle chili peppers. The finish is smoky and peppery with a burnt malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Draft - Nice wood smoke and sweetness. Jet black with a decent beige head. Wood smoke, light peat and some roast malts. Nicely done but I think the smoke overpowers the chili.

On tap at Fat Head’s for CBC. Pours a pitch black color with a medium beige head. A big smoky chocolate nose. The overall flavor is mild chillies, huge chocolate and smoke, a dry earthy roasted malt. Damn good. Excellent in fact. Charred wood and bittersweet chocolate finish.
