Our Blonde Ale is our most basic beer and great starting point for the beginner craft beer drinker.
This beer pours a golden colour with aromas of fresh baked bread and a subtle noble hop character.
We used a neutral strain of yeast to let the malt character shine through.

473ml can. Pours a hazy pale gold with a thin, fizzy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Mild, sweet aroma of bready pale malt, orange and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy pale malt, red apple, orange and light grassy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Inoffensive and crushable.

Smells of muddy juice or something, kind of fermented, not right. Has a nice cloudy yellow and decent foam on top. Flavour is good wheat dough with soft hints of citrus. Mouthfeel is medium with a bit of an odd aftertaste that could be cleaner. It's decent but missing blonde character.

Draught at the brewery
Blond color, dry mouthfeel, easy Blonde, but it has some fruity esters. Refreshing and nice.

On tap at Old Abbey Ales, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is very light, with notes of grass and cereal. Flavour is more like a lager, with grass and cereal notes upfront, but not really any Belgian yeast detectable. Pretty clean and smooth, more like a lager.
