Panda at home thanks to Colin. A oily black brown coloired pour with a loose halo of white head. Aroma is semi sweet, jammy fruits, woody sweet, some alcohol, Flavour is composed of semi sweet, spicy roast, bitter roast, burnt cake, churro, treacle, spicy roast, woody finish. Some harsh alcohol, . Palate is semi sweet, oily, lowish carbonation. Lingering bitter choco.

Can at home, from an online peddler, 24/01/21 - happy birthday Mum xxx. Pitch black with a dirty tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is big roast malts, molasses, liquorice, spice, charr, coffee bean. Taste comprises dark malts, bitter roast, spice, molasses, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, ashen tones, trace of coffee. Full bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Decent impy stout ... sips fine but I'd have liked a greater coffee profile ... it kind of gets lost in the big boosty roasty impy stout profile .. overall a bit too ballsy to carry of the coffee.

440ml can. Black with a dense brown head, fairly decent retention. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate. Taste of intense coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, light ash and a bit of liquorice/dark fruit, very bitter finish. Full bodied, thick, creamy.

375ml bottle. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, small, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, toffee, coffee, some caramel, a touch of treacle. Taste is bitter, roasty, dark malty, slightly chocolately, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, some bitter hop with a minimally metallic touch; lingering finish with notes of coffee and mocha. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Rather simple, nice coffee finish - OK.
