Bottle. Almost black. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Malty sweet, low on carbon. Full bodied. Coffee in the finish. Not really refined, but quite delicious.

0.375 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before September 2022, cellared for about one-and-a-half years. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and a bit fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, some licorice and a touch of dark ripe fruits. Gently sweet, malty, quite roasty taste of dark chocolate, lots of coffee, some licorice, a touch of toasted nuts and traces of dark ripe fruits, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, earthy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really pleasant beer, maybe not overly complex but quite intense and saturating while maintaining its balance.

13/7/19: Batch 1756 (as Motorolie Koffie). Thick and gluggy, like Motorolie should be. Bitter, strong, bit of licorice. Lots of coffee there, but not too much to overpower the beer or taste like peppers. Complementing beer with coffee very well. Excellent beer.
