Bottle @ home. Pitch black color. Brown head with short retention. Aroma's: roasted, red fruit/berries, mocha. Retronasal there's mocha upfront, roast is more subdued, but clearly noticable, some sweetness, light boozy. Flavor is moderate sweet with some roasty bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium bodied. Lots of ground coffee in the finish, moderate bitter.

Sample provided by Werckmeister, many thanks! Bottled 21.02.2018.
Black body, with a small, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of freshly grinded coffee, coca powder, some vanilla, some dark fruits.
Tastes quite similar, with some more liquorice, slight tobacco.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes medium roasty, a bit sweet, a bit dry, a bit wooden, warm, with coffee mainly, some liquorice, some tobacco, some chocolate.
Very nice, while not outstanding. Although I love Coffee Stouts usually, this is a bit too simple for my taste, with too dominant coffee and too less of the typical Stout aromas noticeable. Still quite smooth to drink, especially for the strength.

Bottle. Black pour. Nice aroma of coffee, mocha, roasted malt, chocolate and some smoke. Taste has coffee, booze, roasted malt, some licorice, chocolate, subtle red fruit and a boozy finish. Bit too much carbo. Very potent brew, made for barrel aging. Nice one.

0,375l bottle at home courtesy of Sander, big thanks. BB 09/2022. black color, small very dark coffee colored head. smells coffee, nutty, bit green herbal, licorice, lactose, tobacco. nice smell. full body, almost no carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes lactose, tobacco, peppery, light oxidation, coffee, cocoa, sugary, nutty, vanilla. finshes light to medium sweet with notes of coffee, some oxidation and nutty notes. overall expected a bit more, was a bit weird at first, but I enjoyed it a bit better once it warms, still some rather distracting green herbal and light oxidation notes. rather nice not as good as the ratings though.

Black with dark creamy head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of bittersweet roasted malt. The coffee comes through more in the aftertaste but is not overly bitter. Silky smooth texture.
