Bottled. Poured a dark brown w/very little head. Lots of yeast and pretty light bodies. Fruits etc. Pretty good.

huge aroma of malt, cherries, and chocolate. flavour is super malty, and have some wonderful notes of fruit cake, and ripe fruit. Quite a significant sherry finish. Nice and sweet, a good winter warmer. very doppelbockesque.

Poured from 750mL bottle (because I don't have luggage room to bring it back; 2015 vintage; bottled 12/07/2015). Mild gusher. Light mahogany brown with small beige head. Belgian yeast, caramel malt, feint esters, solid Belgian strong. Feint oxidation.

2017 bottle drunk 2023. Spotty off white head on a reddish brown still body. Boozy aroma with raisin & toffee. Medium bodied, smooth thinning out to a clean back. Chocolate, malt, toffee & raisin tastes with a fruity body. This has lost some body but still very tasty.

Bottle. A- Malty, bread dough, slightly fruity, caramel. A- Copper color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Malty, fruit cake, caramel, mild booze. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- 5 years old. Pretty basic if you ask me. Not complex and really just bready malt and caramel. Wonder if this was better back in the day. I sure was not impressed.
