Seasonal Release Series. Spring forward with this refreshing seasonal ale. Notes of toasted malt up front with a bright and crisp Northwest hop finish. It’s a session beer that everyone can enjoy.
Like many Ninkasi beers, this is an ale more than a specific style, though we put it in the Northwest Pale category. A light toasted malt flavor is more reminiscent of a British Pale, but the hops are bright and very Northwest. Flavorful and easy to drink!

Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. The beer is a slightly cloudy orange color with a medium rocky white head that evaporates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Grassy hops and malt in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal hops, fruit and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bomber from BevMo Salinas. Nose is floral and hints of citrus. Very lightly hazy urine yellow with a medium yellow tinged head (should be drunk out of a urine sample cup?) Flavor is lightly bitter with lemony citrus hints.

Deep golden color, small white head. Bready malty, honeyish, a bit herbal aroma. Medium-bodied. Sticky leafy, grassy hoppyness with woody-piney notes. Lingering piney bitterness in the aftertaste. Aroma was a bit off, but flavorwise a solid brew.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours pale golden. Aroma of floral hops. Flavour of citrus, floral hops, with a sort of soapy quality. Pretty standard APA.

Crisp blonde coloured body with a soapy, large, dense tan head that leaves an ugly lace. Aroma of light hops, light sugars, light malt, a touch of flowers, some jasmine and a minor amount of yeast. Light-bodied; Assertive fresh hops up front that don’t have any depth or body, a little sweetness behind and a very mild malty finish - very bland and unsupported. Aftertaste bland and clean with some floral notes, a tiny amount of hops and a little fresh fruit flavour. Overall, a pretty weak and mild beer - good for the size, but bad for the taste and quality of the beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at BevMo in Walnut Creek, California on 19-March-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 22-March-2011.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream colored head. light grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light grain flavor. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and light pine lingers with light grain.

Bomber into shaker. Aroma is citrus-forward in a big way. A bit floral, as well. Pours a clear deep gold with a thick head that leaves nice decorative lacework. Taste is very bitter with very little malt sweetness. Carbonation is medium-low. Body is medium. Creamy mouthfeel. Bitterness lingers on the tongue long after the last sip. This is one of the bitterest beers I’ve ever had. Not that that’s a bad thing. I’d rather have a bitter hoppy beer than a sweet malty one. Good beer.

Bottle pours a slightly hazy light yellowish amber with only a skin of a off white film serving as an excuse for a head. Aroma is a sweet papery light malt with some soft vanilla notes. Tastes a surprising lightly toasted flavor, cereal and and odd late bitterness that is not what I would call "Northwest" hops. Papery and leathery. Strange. Not strong enough to be offensive, but curious and a bit out of place. Not exactly dry, but medium bodied and lacking the crispness of a more attenuated APA. Just odd...
