Bottle. Pours dirty blonde with bone white white. Nose and taste of lemon, funk, lemongrass, lemon candy, clove and dough. Nose has an odd seaweed note. Medium body. Mild funk sour finish with lemon candy.

amazed this is a diffrent entry . had no clue it was with other lambic, just thought it was a label-change . silly me ! bottle at bierhuyske pours fuzzy blonde/ orange, small white head smell indeed has boon funk ( is it because i know ? would love to taste both versions asside to eachother blind ! ) very high carbo , yet still doable, even for me . very refreshing, tripel is there, the sourness makes in intresting, at least ! lots of funk , even though boon isnt that funky .. bit metallic at the start of the aftertaste, than turns to fading sourness. lambic definetly overrules here . but its better than the average tripel, better than a geuze by boon, and , if i remember correctly , i even prefer this one over the vicardin ... hah .. miracles do happen, i guess !

Pours clear gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Hmmm... smells like Shea stadium (knish, cracker jack and hot dog water). Meaty upfront with a slightly sour summer fruit finish.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.Clear medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, moderate yeasty, tart, grape, tart - sour apples, light citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration, tart fruit, citrus, tart apple, dry, white wine alike. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 750 ml bottle into chalice, best before 6/8/2016. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with moderate streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of pear, sour apple, grape, lemon, raisin, clove, pepper, hay, grass, oak, light leather, funk, honey, candi sugar, light vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of the Tripel/Gueuze counterparts with nice complexity of yeast esters and moderate malt balance. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, grape, raisin, pepper, clove, hay, grass, honey, candi sugar, light funk, light oak, light vinegar, and yeast earthiness. A bit of earthy tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, light fruits, clove, pepper, light funk, honey, candi sugar, light vinegar, and earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of Belgian/wild yeast esters; with moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice take on a blended style. Very nice overall balance of both styles with good complexity; very smooth and crisp to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.
