Draught at Apex, Portland
Hazy golden color with compact head. Musky strong IPA, moderately sweet, but not caramelly or heavy; the hops are sturdy. Not necessarily easy to drink, or exciting.
Heavy beer. Heavy concept.

On tap at Apex, pours a clear golden copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney and herbal hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour is wonderfully balanced, with loads of piney hops, some herbal notes, and just enough dry malt to back. Excellent balance - with loads of hops that don't become burdensome. Wonderful.

Wow! Up front hoppiness , yet very smooth and drinkable . No alcohol burn, but this beer brings on wooziness . Orange copper color, oil skin head, hop dominance for aroma and taste . A real beauty!

On tap at GABF. Pours with a clear yellow body and a white head. Aromas are strongly hoppy, dank, but quite pungent, onion and a bit of cat piss. Flavors are quite bitter, pungent, really strong ammonia/cat piss. Lively bubbles, dry. Just too pungent sadly, the hop presentation and malt bill were nice, but ammonia overpowered.

Courtesy of jayg, thanks Jay. Pours clear copper with gold edges and thin off white head. Wow, big aroma of pine hops that seem to border on wet hops along with grassiness. It delivers a big mouth feel full of pine, resiny, grassy, wet hops that hit the spot for this hop head of mine. A mild malt sweetness never exceeds at making its presence felt beyond just a murmur. It leaves a nice pine hop sense into the after taste.

On Tap at the brewpub. Semi hazy orange amber color with persistant creamy off white head. Long lasting sticky lacing. Aroma is bvright and citrusy. Lots of late hops on this. Some carmel malt flavors are mixed with bitterness that is not quite what I expected from a double. Still, the flavors wourk well and the finish is a nice long bitterness. A nice surprose find when we stopped in after a long road trip.
