Hogus Maximus Triple IPA tastes like pure hop juice. Dank, piney aromas overwhelm the nose and continue into the flavor, where they are balanced by enough citrus to complete the American hop trio. Hogus Maximus finishes dry, with almost no malt flavor to get in the way of the hops.

Sampler at brewery. The best way for me to describe this beer is sweet tropical hops trying to cover up rough alcohol edges. The alcohol can be seen as acetone-like but its just etoh. Sweaty, slick, oily fruit hops. Attenuated enough and no caramel. Moderate bitter finish. Dial this one down a tad to get rid of the etoh and its pretty damn awesome.

Draft pour at Special Brews. Pours a cloudy orange color with a quick fading head. Big wet hop aroma. Flavor is more the same. A ton of hop flavor with a long cool finish. A little boozy, but somewhat expected. Good beer here.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe, pours an opaque dark orange with a small white head. Nose brings out notes of resinous hops, tropical fruits, and a touch of acetone. Flavour is intensely sweet, with a touch of acetone, along with cloyingly sweet sugar, some nice fruitiness and buried resinous hops. Another jumbled mess of a triple IPA. Smells good, but the flavour is way off.

Draft - Lots of pine and some skunk. Cloudy copper with a decent white head. Sweet and lots of tropical fruit. Little bitter and a little booze, but not bad.
