Had this at Pre ZBF 5th March 2010 Pours almost black with a nice creamy textured beige head. The aroma is a touch woody. Soft and creamy in the mouth, with some spirit showing, alcohol is there but not overpowering, some chocolate, and dark dried fruits also noted. Mmmhh.. lovely stuff and exactly the sort of beer that De Molen excel at. A8 A5 F8 P4 Ov16 4.1

Near black with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with loads of burned malt, dark chocolate, espresso and lingering hops. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, espresso and wood. Finished bitter. Lovely and beer of Pre Zbf by far.

75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown and hazy with a small tan head. Aroma is smooth roasted and vanilla. Dark chocolate. Smooth malty, caramelish, dark toffee and light coffee. Lingering chocolate flavoured. Very smooth finish. Sweet and chocolate flavoured finish. Smooth and easy.

Draught Very persistent yellow-brown fluffy head over yeast-laden dark brown beer. Sweet-alcoholic nose with stout-like burned/roasted malts. Sweet-roasted flavours, as from a not-too salty roastbeef crust. Whisky (rather than cognac, sorry), liquorice and wood. Very thick, viscous liquid, warming. Excellent, very nicely ripened beer that gets an excellent cognac aroma at last, warming up.
