Sampler at the brewery. This is the kind of beer that I never liked and its not even what I don’t usually like about it. Its just a lot of malts that aren’t sweet but just messy. The bitterness isn’t super strong, kind of indistinct hops. Just a lopsided, uninteresting beer that would have been cool a decade ago.

On tap at Georgetown, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Nose brings out quite a bit of resin, along with hemp and bready caramel. Flavour is well-balanced, with lots of resinous hops and caramel malt. Big robust flavours with a hempy finish. Solid big red ale.

Sample at the brewery tap room (as "Superchopp"). The beer is a clear dark amber color with a medium bone white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of malt, hops and caramel. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops, citrus and caramel malt. The finish is malty up front with a resiny hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

On tap at Georgetown Brewing Co. Pours out brown with some red highs topped with a nice head. Aroma of rich malts and floral hops. Tast of a nice hop and plenty malts even a touch of wood.
