Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver; 10oz
Black color, small beige head. Smooth beer, rather dry, more roasty than chocolatey, with a trace of cheesy yeast. The final is slightly sweeter, pleasant. The bitterness is quite strong.
Good beer.

Draft - Light roast and dark chocolate. Deep jet brown with a rich light brown head. Lots of dark roast malts, big bitterness and a long lingering almost burnt finish.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a cloudy filthy brown with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out loads of rye malt, some roast, and some citrusy notes. Flavour brings out quite a bit of roasted malt, followed by robustness from the rye, and some citrusy hops. Quite robust and full-bodied. Probably the best Steel & Oak beer so far.
