There is something special about our non-alcoholic wheat beer. Unlike other breweries, which halt the fermentation process prematurely – our beer is given the time it needs to allow its refreshing flavor to unfold. Subsequently, the alcohol is removed from the beer using falling film evaporation, a technique developed together with the Technical University of Munich-Weihenstephan. The result: fewer calories and carbohydrates and yet a truly enjoyable beer...

Pale yellow colour with thin head. It's got a solid base flavour very much like the standard version. Just weaker and thinner.

Lime and soft wheat. Lime cloys for a while. Hazy blonde pour with ok head. Better than the shittiest alcohol beers, but that's not saying much. Bottle.

Bottle picked up at Meny Domus Vista FDB and drunk at home which watching FA CUP go on Morecambe and the Shrews!! ⚽️🏆 - dark golden with a big white head. Medium sweet wheaty, some straw, cereal, light doughy malt, wort, light bodied, preferred the Schneider.

11.2 oz bottle with various number codes on the back, none resembling a date, drunk 12/25/21. Light haziness after swirling. Deep honey-maize with deep copper tints. White head quickly to a ring. Corn, wheat, honey, biscuit. Low to moderate clove and light floral aromatics. Tons of lovely citrus. Maybe some old banana but not too heavy. Thinner, with the wheat not really bolstering the texture, in place of the alcohol - not as much as I'd expect anyways. Some baking soda/cracker gives way to light herb and marmalade. Very dry. Clean and the ester phenol balance is excellent, but this one really suffers from the loss of alcohol, texture/body-wise, more than most.

On tap at Weihenstephan brewery Sunday 7th November 2021 two thirds of the way into a 11km loop walk around Freising. Pours hazy yellowy with a white head. I tried this next to Loz's standard Hefe-Weisse the difference was like chalk and cheese, or light and dark. It really has very little or nothing of the usual wheat characteristics, it's simply a non alcoholic beer.
