Old Tomorrow Canadian Pale Ale employs the traditional brewing methods of our forefathers, but blends Old World malts and hops with newer Canadian counterparts to create a beer that tastes distinctly Canadian. The recipe is designed to evoke the best of English Ales to create a well balanced yet full bodied taste that Canadians can be proud to call their own. We’ve used Canadian two row barley, rye and a unique blend of North American and U.K. hops that results in the malty, smooth body of popular English Style Bitter Beer with a pleasant, slightly citrus aromatic nose. The initial moderately hoppy flavour ends with a crisp, clean finish. Richly golden in colour, Old Tomorrow Canadian Pale Ale has 18 IBU’s and is 4.9% alcohol – making it a remarkably refreshing beer.

Why is John A winking at me? (I assume he’s winking, I can only see the one eye.) Does he know something about this beer that I don’t? An interesting bit of branding, though rather blind, the brewers having the Macdonald surname, and Old Tomorrow being a nickname of John A. But whatever, is the beer worth the research? (Two minutes on Google, and some can reading.) Let’s find out. Pours a very clear amber, half a finger of loose white head. Nose of mild pine and resin hops, some bready malts. The taste isn’t as reserved as the nose. Much bigger hops flavour with bittering, pine and resin all in there with a touch of perfume. The malts take much more of a supportive role with it only adding a little hay to the mix. I like it. Good job John A. and mom and son Macdonald
