Bottle - Light citrus and sweet honey notes. Clearish yellow with white head. Funky, sweet and honey. Light and sweet with not much going on.

Bottle from the brewery (bottled July10/2014). Hazy pale yellow with the tiniest of heads that is quickly gone. Nose is lemon, honey, yeast, banana and spices. Sweet fruit and honey start with a lightly bitter citrusy middle leading to a mildly spicy banana bread like finish. Thin slick body with quite active carbonation.

(500mL bottle from the brewery). Very pale straw gold, slight haze, small white bubbly head, no lace. Aroma pretty bright if not pungent, slight pale malt honey sweetness, yeasty, light bread/cheese that recalled sourdough when it warmed, bit of banana ester and herbs. Quite crisp and mineral on the palate with light citrus zest, bit of spice, faint dough and fruit ester in the middle brings a touch of sweet, very clean with lots of minerality on the finish. Not quite bone dry but pretty dry indeed. The body is very light and thin and the finish does border on watery, carb high but not as soft as if bottle conditioned - that would be a really nice touch with this beer. It’s super refreshing and very easy to drink, reasonable amount of flavour too. Better than the sum of its parts? If the price was a little more gulpable as well, it’d be a great hot afternoon table beer.
