Cask - Chocolate, roast and some light smoke. Deep jet maroon with no head. Chocolaty , dark roast and some light smoke. Tea is subtle and offers just a hint of nice balanced smoke. Nice.

Cask at the brewery
Dark brown color, near black, with no head. It’s a good British Mild or Porter, with some chocolate flavor and light yeast presence, and very light smoke touch, a bit astringent in the end. Finishes with some roasted nuts.
A good, comforting cask.

On cask at Powell Street, pours a dark burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma is light on the tea, with none of the usual smokiness, just some cocoa. Flavour brings out more of the smokiness, though it is still not very pronounced - giving way to notes of chocolate. Very light palate, leaving much to be desired. Decent, but missing some oomph.
