This beer was first brewed in 1978 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our brewery. It has a golden-yellow color with a slightly flowery yeast, honey-ish aroma, tastes a little spicy and is full-bodied in initial taste, mild before swallowing and soft with a refined sparkle and fades with a well-balanced hint of bitterness. It is an especially drinkable and harmonious beer. Conrad Seidl, known as the Austrian “Pope of Beers”, on the Jahrhundert Bier: “It is a malty beer that pronounces the precious earthy quality of malted barley.”

"Ayinger Jahrhundert Bier", Flasche von Grabsch, Berlin-Lichterfelde. - Satt goldgelb, blank; reichlich Schaum. - In der Nase breites helles Malz mit Sahnebonbons, zarter Kandissüße und feine krautige Hopfennoten. - Antrunk füllig hellmalzig mit Anklängen an Honig und Fenchel. Ausgeprägter Malzkörper, gerstig und satt malztief. Sortentypisch milde aber nicht fade hopfenwürzige Herbe mit leichter Zitrusfrucht. Durchschnittlich rezent, vollmundig, vielleicht ein wenig hart im Mund. Im Abgang gedämpfte aber nicht zu knappe Herbe. - Schönes, typisch bayerisches Export mit fülligem Malzkörper und perfekt darauf abgestimmter mild-aromatischer Hopfung. Sauber.

500ml bottle. Pours a crystal clear gold with a large, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves plenty of lace. Sweet aroma of biscuit malt, corn, honey and grass. Sweet flavour of biscuit malt, caramel, honey and lemon with a crisp, dry, bitter grass finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Clean and easy drinking, an excellent Dortmunder.

Bottle. Malty aroma, caramel, grainy and bready notes. Tastea the same as aroma, light to medium bitter. Medium body, malty caramel light bitter finish with sweet notes. Very good.

T: malty, light grassy, bit bready, bit caramel, herbal, medium body and carbonation, good balanced for the style, clear taste, enjoyed, 0,5l bottle from Supermarket Billa in TULIP CENTER, Martin-Záturčie in Slovakia.

Bottle. Clear gold with a huge beautiful white foamy head. Aroma of grains, malts, bread and spicy and floral hops. Taste follows aroma. Medium carbonation. Very balanced and refreshing. Süffig to the max.

Bottle. Lots of oxidation going on in both aroma and the flavour. Slightly yeasty sourish, slightly metallic. That about sums it up. Not much to be found here.
