Tuoksu Paahteisen maltainen, aavistuksen kahvinen ja suklainen ja varsin mielenkiintoinen kokonaisuus. Maku maltaisen makea, paahteinen ja salmiakkisen suolainen. Loppupuoleltaan suklainen sekä aavistuksen kahvinen. Keskitäyteläinen suutuntuma. Hieno kokonaisuus!

Although the beer was cold at first it still gave a very good aroma of burnt malts: sweet coffee or strong malt coffee, cocoa, slight hint of prune in chocolate. The aroma maybe could be stronger but as for the beer with a lower blg than many other baltic porter’s (judging from quiet low abv - 6.9) it is great. The head is great looking, beige and lasting, wonderfully sticks to the glass. The beer is very drinkable, sweetness gives an impression of slightly thicker body that it is in fact and the bitterness from burnt malts and some hops balances this sweetness. The aftertaste of the cocoa, sweet coffee or intensive malt coffee intensifies the impression of a hick body. It is a great feeling to drink such a porter and it is extremely drinkable.

500 ml. bottle shared. Purchased @ ABC Beers. Black, patchy moldy-looking mocha head. Nose is light licorice, syrup, dash molasses, engine oil & thick honey sweetness, quite syrupy, slick, sweet in a strongly herbal way. Taste is light herbal bitterness coupled with huge herbal, slightly industrial, slick syrupy sweetness, burned herbs, light anise, black licorice, honey sweet, quite a bit of molasses. Slick, touch industrial goopy & strongly syrupy body. Herbal, licorice, anise qualities of these are potentially divisive. Overal this is a surprisingly nice industrial offering, there seem to be a few surprisingly nice Baltic Porters floating around still in that part of the world from industrialized breweries. One can do little wrong with this one, quite pleasant.

Bottle: Deep brown pour with a large, foamy brown head. It’s sweet, lots of dark fruit and molasses fill the air. Some dark chocolate and a little bit fruity. Taste is distinctly sweet... plenty of dark pitted fruits, more molasses, and chocolate. If there was a little more roasted malt to balance out the heavy sweetness this would be a winner for sure. As is a little too sweet for my taste.

Bottle shared at home. Almost black with beige head. Licorice, sweet grains, light coffee and milk chocolate, lots of dried plums, raisins, light herbs. In the finish some cardboard and salmiak. Medium sweet with dry light bitter finish. Medium bodied with slick feel. Decent stuff.

Black with quick fading head. Some roast malt elements in aroma and taste. Not especially bitter. Perhaps some red berry sweetness in the finish.
