Received in trade from RobertDale, thanks for the opportunity! Pours a solid dark brown color with a decent sized khaki head that persists quite well. Aromas of bread, caramel, a bit of cherry and plum and a little wet cardboard. The flavor is fairly sweet with lots of brown sugar and caramel. Hints of chocolate, dark fruits, and earth round out the flavor. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a chalky ashy creamy mouthfeel. Kind of sweet and sticky, but somewhat drinkable.

500mL bottle with the great purple label. You know there just aren’t enough beers with black and purple labels, its a nice color combo. Love the bottle shape and embossing. Bottom of the bottle says beer in a few different languages. Not to mention the awesome price. 2.99 a bottle, nice. Without making too much out of this rating the beer is right on the mark for s Baltic porter. My only complaint is the aroma is over ally layered, a bit of metal sneaking in. The flavor is very strong on lagered chocolate and fumy ash. Pours with a pretty head. Long aftertaste and well lagered.

Sweet dark malts prevail in both aroma and taste. Black with foamy beige head. Molasses mostly, with some roast grains, chocolate and a smidge of hops. No evidence of alcohol warmth. Smooth.

6.9% bottle from the supermarket in Tallinn for about a euro. A nice dark brown-black pour with a tan head. A slightly grainy sweet caramel aroma. The taste is alright, decent body, a bit bitter, mild chocolate with some roastiness. I preferred A. Le Co, Koff, etc...

50cl botte at my hotel room in Narva. Pours clear mahogany with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits and a hint of caramel and alcohol. Well balanced and surprisingly easy to drink. Sweet and a bit chocolaty with a very mild bitterness. Deserty and warming.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a hazy dark brown colour with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is of liqourice and malt, leading to a stong bitter flavour with lots of alcohol inspired liqourice and dark chocolate. It’s a rather nice porter, but the alcohol is starting to take over a little which does not improve the flavour.

Bottle on Rugby Corroi night @20MR thanks to SP, 06/03/13. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head. Nose is roast malt, light coffee tones, dark fruits, toffee. Taste comprises dark malt, hint of chocolate, dark treacle toffee, molasses, tar, leather, slightly burnt aspects. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation lending towards a dry finish. Pretty basic average fayre with zero hidden depths for a 6.9% Baltic Porter !
