The original Cisk Lager Beer is a golden-coloured, bottom-fermented lager with a distinctive and well-balanced character. Its rich hop aroma and pleasant bitterness has made it the natural choice and thirst quencher for beer drinkers who want to savour the original brew which has remained faithful to its recipe of 1929.
Recipient of a number of international awards since its launch in 1929, Cisk Lager Beer is popular any time of the year and consumed across the Maltese Islands, holding a strong presence at Malta’s traditional social band clubs, known as ”kazini”. On a hot summer day, it is best enjoyed chilled by the sea with friends. Just add a barbecue banquet or a selection of fresh shellfish and Cisk will be the perfect companion.

Jul. ’15. A 0.33 l can, thanks Marko! Clear golden colored with a small head. Hay grainy aroma with a touch of hops. Flavor was lightly bitter, lightly sour herbal and also grainy. Medium body with shorter paper finish finish. An average pale lager, could be much worse.

Can, 4.2%. Weak dusty aroma. Clear yellow colour. OK stable white head. The flavour is watery and bready with a mild, floral, aromatic hop note. Clean enough but with a slightly unpleasant bitterness.

At a tasting, thanks, small stable bubbly head, clear palish yellow color, aroma of malt and sawed wood with just a spicy hint, sweet fruity flavor with just a hint of sourness and a very light bitterness. Not too good, too sweet.

Ein klassisches leichtes Strandbier, bei dem die Außentemperatur stimmen muss, dass es schmeckt. Im Urlaub sicher etwas feines, aber daheim in Mitteleuropa wirkt es fade.

12 Oz can poured, as part of my bringing beers out of hiatus series. Huge thanks to my Dad for thinking of me while in Malta. Even though it was 5 years ago. This is clearly past it’s prime, and then some. All natural though! This Ottawa be good. Pours a less than healthy piss golden color with an amount of carb and foam head that surprised the hell out of me. Plastic grain aroma. Typical international lager, a little flat, but not much. Plastic linger. Fun tick. Glad I get to share this gem!

Wygląd: Słomkowa barwa, słaba piana która szybko opada. Zapach: delikatny chmiel i mokry karton. Smak: Tak samo jak zapach. Ogólnie: Nic ciekawego, gorsze niż nasze koncerniaki. Piwo jedynie do zabicia pragnienia.

At the multi-national tasting held in Rome-Italy on 29/08/2015 (Jow, Mortlach, ippopotamo36 and Marco). Bottle courtesy of Sylvan, thank you! Pours a yellow clear color, small white foam short lasting. Nose: a mild straw feel, sweet notes of sugar, a bit flat. Mouth: hay, veggies, flat. Boring but good for the country tick.
