Keg at the taproom, 07/11/14. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is pine, floral notes, grapefruit, orange pith, earthy hops. Taste comprises lightly skunked hop, perfumed tones, grapefruit, pine, light booze scrape. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Decent enough DIPA.

Draft - Lots of pine and a bit of skunk. Clear gold with a decent beige head. Big fresh pine, big bitterness and a pine needle finish. Huge flavours with no balance, a palate wrecker.

Bottle from Malt & Vine, Redmond
Hazy light amber color with medium sized compact head. Very resiny aroma, with orange peel, and light animal impression. Full bodied, with a smooth mouthfeel; the malt backbone is solid but not too overwhelming for the hopping; it’s a fairly sugary one anyway; the bitterness is extreme and it provides an explosion of hop oils, resins and some bitter orange.
Very good, clean.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out earthy and piney hops, some pepper notes and a solid caramel malt backing. Flavour is much the same, with peppery resinous hops, pine, and a big caramel malt backbone that doesn't cloy. Well-balanced, with perhaps a thicker body than I generally care for in a IIPA - still, nice stuff, much better than Sky Hag IPA.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent orange tinged gold with a slight white head. Aroma of citrus - so much it’s ancient cat pee. Med + body. Flavor starts with sweet caramel - which is immediately crushed by mega citrus hop. It’s not harsh. The burn is more like a long road rash. My brewing instructor said humans lose it at about 100 IBU. Ok. Make that true. But the excess hops here are likely killing all my taste buds. Damn but this is a wild hop experience. Woot!
