It’s just a helluva shock. Something that gets the adrenalin pumping like a 400 volt shot in a copper bathtub has to be good for the soul.
Join the hardcore elite, screw down the throttle and ride. Ride until your lungs bleed and your arms numb. Gun the fucker. Don’t pull back, or slow down until the crazy music starts.
Then sit, stunned, wall-eyed, open mouthed, in the realization this mother will drill you with Panzer-like efficiency. And you’ll beg for more.
Malts: Maris Otter, Crystal malt, Caramalt.
Hops: Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe / Dry Hops: Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe.

330ml bottle into glass. Unfortunately well past its BBF date. Pours a murky caramel colour. Frothy white head. Nose is sweet raisins and cake. Full-bodied, malty taste. Finish is dark fruit mince with a tiny bit of balancing bitterness. Very nice, alcohol well hidden.

Pours hazy dark orange with a small, lasting, off-white head. Strong aroma of grapefruit, orange, mango, some lemon (zest), grass, yeast and alcohol. It tastes almost medium fruity sweet (tropical fruits galore) and medium to heavy hoppy bitter. The finish has lingering fruity sweetness but a decent enough amount of bittering hops and a noticeable dash of alcohol, giving it a Grand Marnier-like effect (orange liqueur). Full body, silky/creamy texture, soft carbonation. An IPA with character, to say the least.

Flesje thuis gedronken met LiekevdV. Het is een amberkleurig helder bier met een stevig wit schuim. Het aroma is fruitig en erg hoppig net als de smaak. De afdronk is hoppig.

Off white fluffy head left a cover & collar on an dark amber, finely effervescent body. Aroma of malt & berries. Medium to full body. Thick & viscous on the palate. Oily. Minimal carbonation. Very smooth on the aft. Woody, red berries, plenty of malt & not too hoppy. Finishes with a really bitter tangy back.

2016 catch up - Many bottles at home as Mr President - A very, very good double IPA. Great colour and mouthfeel, a rich and bitter hoppyness and a great kick of alcohol. Pairing it with cheese, pate and bread was a work of genius! It really was more like a wine, but all the better for it. This is something I always have in stock and I love it.

bottiglia 33 ml, schiuma beige fine persistente, colore arancio limpido, al naso un esplosione di profumi note agrumate sentori di frutta tropicale passion fruit, carbonatazione piatta, in bocca luppolo caramello e frutta tropicale, di buon corpo, il grado alcolico è ben bilanciato, inizialmnte dolce contrastato da un amaro elevato molto lungo nel finale. Estrema, intensa, ottima!

Bottle from Tesco as ’Mr President’. Copper in colour, with a short-lived, off-white, head and plenty of carbonation. Aroma of Grassy hops, caramel, booze and overripe citrus fruits. Flavour had more red berries and orange fruit, sweet, slightly doughy, malts and a touch of green herbs, before a raspingly dry finish, with a big and warming alcohol kick. A bit too extreme for my wimpy palate.
