It’s just a helluva shock. Something that gets the adrenalin pumping like a 400 volt shot in a copper bathtub has to be good for the soul.
Join the hardcore elite, screw down the throttle and ride. Ride until your lungs bleed and your arms numb. Gun the fucker. Don’t pull back, or slow down until the crazy music starts.
Then sit, stunned, wall-eyed, open mouthed, in the realization this mother will drill you with Panzer-like efficiency. And you’ll beg for more.
Malts: Maris Otter, Crystal malt, Caramalt.
Hops: Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe / Dry Hops: Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe.

330ml bottle. Aroma is caramel, pine, grass and some orange candy. Flavour is huge bitter pine with lots of juicy orange and caramel. Huge flavour and complex too. Lovely.

Bottle. Cloudy dark orange with light beige foamy head, orange peel aroma, initially sweet orange peel taste that gets bitter soon, alcohol undertones, low carbonation, thin body, long bitter finish with alcohol aftertaste. A bit too sweet.

Kirkas punertavankuparinen olut kohtalaisella, nopeasti katoavalla valkoisella vaahdolla. Tuoksussa eksoottista hedelmää ja havupuuta. Maku alkaa makean toffeisena, mutta vaihtuu pian katkeran greippiseen ja havuiseen humalointiin. Aavistus alkoholia loppumaussa, ei kuitenkaan häiritsevästi. Keskitäyteläinen suutuntuma, hiilihappoja varsin vähäisesti. Aika kiva ja sopiva sekoitus makeaa karamellista otetta sekä toisaalta katkeran greippistä ja havuista humalointia.

Flasche (33 cl) aus dem Sanlitun Friendship Store, Peking. - Orangebraun, trüb. - In der Nase kräftige aber gediegene IPA-Hopfenaromen: Mango, Harz, ein Hauch von Pfeffer. - Antrunk schwer und massiv karamelmalzig-malzsüß mit wuchtiger harzig-herber Hopfung. Sahniges Mundgefühl, ölige Schwere. Im Abgang lang nachhallende harzige Bittere. - Strenges, wuchtiges IPA; einwandfrei aber ein wenig seelenlos.

Strong pine aroma, toffee, tropical fruits notes. Small head, hazy amber. Medium sweet and a little more bitter, bitter finish and lasts long. Medium body.

Long lasting head, leaving a lacing. Strong aroma, heavily hopped, spicy and flowery. Bitter and well balanced, some soapy flavors. Full body, drinkable, alcohol well hidden, strong bitter after. One of the best IIPAs.

330ml bottle from Tesco as Mr. President. Deep amber/copper colour with a nice off-white head. Aroma: piney, resin, mango, orange marmalade. Taste: piney resin, mango, citrus zest, malt, caramel, marmalade, spice, quite bitter and a slight booziness. Medium body, soft-average carbonation. It's been over a year since I had Hardcore IPA so I can't say for certain if this beer is identical but from my tasting notes it does sound quite similar, and my score is the same.
09/04/2016: original Hardcore IPA rating. 330ml bottle. Deep orange colour with a good head. Rich aroma of citrus, pine, tropical fruits, malt. Sweetish taste of tropical fruits, malt, bitter hoppiness, herbs/spices, some alcohol. Good body and flavours.
