Boasting the essence of grapefruit and citrus, aromatic Cascade hops make this ale dangerously drinkable on a warm day, but always a good choice year round.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, peach, orange zest, light pine, light caramel, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, peach, orange zest, pine, light caramel, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, peach, orange zest, pine, biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness. lightly increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle, slightly cooler than room temp. Pillowy head. Mild hop perfume olfactory. A little less bitter than stronger IPA, but ipa ish none the less. Yes, quite hoppy bitter. Barely any co2. Sometimes I canβt tell the difference between a stronger pale ale and a session ipa, go figger.

Draft - Grapefruit and tropical fruit. Clear gold with a decent white head. Grapefruit and bright bitterness up front with some pale malts and sweetness to balance. Very solid.

Sample at the brewpub: Pours a lightly hazed amber color with a medium thin ivory head that has good retention. Thin, spotty lacing. The aroma is citrusy hops and a touch of malt. Medium-bodied and effervescent with a hoppy character. Fruit and malt show up but not with much authority. The finish is dry and moderately bitter. Like the Buckeye Beer, this brew has flashes of something better but doesnβt appear to be putting in enough effort.

draft - Clear amber color with a thin head and a light, hoppy aroma. It feels a bit too fizzy on the palate, but has a decent hops presence. This brew is a straightforward pale ale, average or a bit below for the style.
