Draft at Flying Dog Brewery poured into a goblet. Pours a brownish black with tan head. Smells of mostly roast and coffee, some dark chocolate. Tasting notes of roast, burnt coffee, caramel, slight dark fruit, subtle licorice. Full body with a sticky/oily dry finish.

Aromas a café torrefacto, tostado y algo quemado.

10/08 A 0.355 l bottle from Csak a jo sör, Budapest. It poured pitch black body with a tiny lightly brown head. Coffee attack in the aroma, spiced up with chocolate and other, lighter dark malt notes. Flavor was rather following the nose, coffee dominated with some acidic chicory and herbal notes. Not very full bodied as an IS can be, but nothing weird for modest 8.9% ABV. Finishes as a coffee bomb smoothed with cookies and roughed with some herbal, even citrus hops which actually made it a bit weird. Really a nice experience, a good beer anyway, although I might have expected more.

Black beer. Warm taste of coffee, oat, choco malt and some vanilla. It was a bit too sweet though.
