Dark brown. Aroma is quite some butter with grainy malt and bread. Taste is sour malt with light grain and faint sweetness. Some butter in the finish and more malt juice. The butter is classic franconian pleasantness but some body is missing and the sourness just feels way off...

500ml bottle. Clear, dark brown colour with wonderful ruby shimmer and average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Slightly grainy, dark malty aroma, weak hints of malt lozenge. Taste is slightly roasty, minimally grainy, dark malty, minimally fruity, hints of chocolate, roast, a touch of nougat, red berries, metallic overtones, subtle sweetness. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry, minimally repellent palate, fine and soft carbonation. Slightly unsatisfactory nose due to grainy aspects; overall still more Dunkel than Schwarzbier for me, could be more roasty; apart from that a handful of nice malt flavours nevertheless - OK.

Ganz ganz schlimmes Flaschendesign, aber darum gehts hier ja auch nicht. In der Nase hauptsächlich Malz, recht unscheinbar. Im Trunk auch nur Malz, recht wässrig, blind hätte ich nie auf Schwarzbier getippt, da fehlt ne Menge.

500 ml bottle. Clear dark brown / red with a fluffy head. A bit of smoke, walnut, grassy metallic hops, basement notes, some caramel. Dry metallic bitterness, malty sweetness. Light bodied, watery texture, lively carbonated, dry metallic malty finish. Okay.

Hummel-Bräu Cowboy Schwarz Bier, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Dunkles Kastanienrotbraun, klar; schöner Schaum. - In der Nase mildes dunkles Malz, leichte Röstnoten, ein wenig Johannisbeere, nur dezente Hintergrundherbe, etwas seifig. - Antrunk füllig aber mild dunkelmalzig mit leichter Röstigkeit und gut abgestimmter milder Frucht: Blockmalz, dunkle Brotkruste, Orange. Milder rezent, weich. Im Abgang milde Orange, nur schwache Herbe. Leerer, schwach seifiger Nachtrunk. - Füllig weiches Dunkles, weniger röstmalzbetont als ich es von einem Schwarzbier erwarte. Ländlich ungezwungen aber liebenswert. Und der Kunstreiter-Cowboy auf dem Etikett ist einfach herrlich. (5.4.2020.)

Draught at the brewery - Dark brown wity red tinges. Roasted aroma with notes of blackcurrant. Malty and moderately roasted taste with currants, toast and rye bread.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Light roastaroma. Roast flavor with notes of cardboard and skimmed milk. Hint of diacetyl. Nevertheless a fairly pleasant beer.

Tap. Brown color with tan head. Aroma is buttery, chocolate, sweetish malts. Taste is buttery, earthy, sweet malts again. Natural carbonation. Very sweet but moreish.

Tap at fränkisches Bierfest. Darkest chestnut, offwhite lace, roasted/burned, buttery, roux nose, chewy body, dry body, mellow, not spectacular.

Many thanks for this beer to Beerhunter111. Pours clear dark amber-copper color with small head. Aroma is malty, bready.
