Our Hop Ottin’ IPA is brewed and dry-hopped with copious amounts of Columbus and Cascade. This beer is a showcase of the bright citrusy aromas, bold grapefruit and pine-like flavors, and resiny bitterness that hop heads crave. With a brilliant, deep amber color and solid malt backbone, hints of citron, roses, and bergamot peak with a dry, herbal finish in this well-balanced interpretation of a West Coast IPA.

Tap at Plan B, Springfield, 19/05/13. Clear golden amber with a thin of white head. Some lacing follows. Nose is caramel malt, hops, pine, bitter orange, light sugar. Taste is caramel malt forward, hops, biscuit, light tropicals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish. Ok IPA.

Bottle at BierProfessor Eindhoven, 5th June 2013. Loads of hops in this one, great aroma, loads of aromatic hops in the taste, I liked this, easy drinking IPA, with lots going, on and a bitter kick, well balanced

Pint, on-tap in Valhalla, New York on 18 Jan 2013. Light amber towards golden in colour: small white foaming head. This is one of those ’over-hopped’ IPA’s that the US West Coast brewers seem to like to produce. I quite enjoy them because we don’t see the style in the UK very often. Citrus and spicy hop notes rule the nose and taste, the malts undetectable by me. Bitter and with a dry finish, you know it’s coming but it is still a shock after each sip or gulp.

Dobre i o ladnej pianie. Piwo kolory ciemnej pomaranczy. Chmilowe nuty w zapachu. Smak także zdominowany przez chmiele amerykansie. Ale piwo takze ma cialo, jest aromatyczne i slodowe. Piana trwala i pozostawia slad na szkle.

Bottled. Gift from Chuwy. I think he got it cheap. Nice citrus hop nose, grass and earth as well, very typical of the West Coast style, with med to light caramel malts backing it up. Medium amber-orange color with a medium, fine head. Drier than anticipated, and also more earthy and grassy hops. Citrus too, but this is not just Cascade. Quite a bit of pine too. Very resinous. Quality stuff, a bit old-school, not surprising but nothing lacking.
