Our Hop Ottin’ IPA is brewed and dry-hopped with copious amounts of Columbus and Cascade. This beer is a showcase of the bright citrusy aromas, bold grapefruit and pine-like flavors, and resiny bitterness that hop heads crave. With a brilliant, deep amber color and solid malt backbone, hints of citron, roses, and bergamot peak with a dry, herbal finish in this well-balanced interpretation of a West Coast IPA.

Bottle from Appalachian Wines, Edinburgh 241212
Orange amber, hazy, frothy white head that dissipates to thin layer
Aroma of caramel malts, some scorched sweet caramel, light resinous hops
Taste of piney grassy bitter hops, resinous hops with quite a malty backbone of pale honey, caramel malts, fruity sweet orangey barley sugar malts
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, quite oily creamy texture. Bittersweet palate, bitter hops and sweet honey malts. Finish as main flavour with a lingering hoppy bitter with sweet malts
Overall - Quite a malty IPA - I prefer US IPA’s to be less malty than this

Bottled, 0.355l. Clear golden amber color with small creamy tan-like head and lively bubbles. Aroma of floral hops, spicy malt with fruity notes and some vanilla. Taste starts refreshing fruity with prevailing berries and bananas, then followed with spicy maltiness. Crisp mouthfeel is rounded with long and hoppy aftertaste. Full body, thick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Cool, but expected more...

Citrusos, a komló által dominált amerikai IPA. Quite good IPA dominated by hops with some citrus aroma (not as significant as in case of typical US IPAs).

On tap at The Rake. Amber colour slight haze lasting off white head. For 9 quid a pint this had better be good. And it isnt. Oxidised sweet crystal aroma sharp hop finish. Overcarbonated and just vaguely ok

Bottle, 12oz. It’s a hazy, copper-colored beer topped by a finger-thick dense beige head. Citrus, pine cones and malts on the nose, a bit weak I think. The flavor has a nice sweetness that dries up, with some caramel, and citrus peel and resin. Good bitterness too. Full-bodied. A quite refreshing beer, but it needs more punch in the aroma. Rating: 7-4-7-4-15-3.7. 100130

Bottle, 12 oz. As IPA. It pours a clear, dark golden body and a dense, off-white head of moderate size. The aroma has lots of crystal malt sweetness, in a quite pleasant way, with pine cones and resins. It’s quite sweet on the palate, full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated. Some bitterness, pine cones, resins and malty sweetness in the flavour. Lasting finish with a nice bitterness and sweetness. Although a tad on the sweet side, it’s a very fine beer. 121115

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; pours orange small head only feint hop in the aroma and taste, I expect more hop in a west coast ipa. Quite bitter small amount of malt. OK had better move along.

From a 12 oz bottle served at home. Clear dark golden with a frothy white head. Peach and orange zest in the nose. Some citrus tucked away in massive bitterness that lingers and lingers.
