Poleeko Pale Ale is an exceptionally flavorful and well-balanced beer. With a bright, citrus hop profile and mild malt flavors reminiscent of English biscuits, the aromas of pink grapefruit and lemon zest compliment the brisk, balanced finish to create a truly refined American Pale Ale.

Pours clear gold with copper core and frothy-frumpy off white head. The aroma seems inviting with sweet malts, biscuit and soft citrus notes. The taste begins with a rush of sweet malts, biscuit like malts and a citrus note or two hitting all at once. By midway and into the finish grapefruit hop bitterness comes to the surface and grows to the point of taking over the flavor. Nice pale with near chewy malts and assertive hops.

12 oz bottle from a Winter Beer 10 Pack purchased at World Market for me by my applehead. Pour is only slightly hazed golden, active carbonation creates pretty settling that builds up a 2 inch white head. Head is lasting, eventually leaves behind bahl lacing. Aroma of bitter orange rind citrus, baking cookie sweet malt behind that. Nice balance between the two. Taste is more of the citrus hop bitterness out of the gate, followed by the malt which has more grainy bread character versus the sweet of the nose. Some more bitterness in the finish, this time around its more of a resin taste. Palate is on the thinner side of medium, brief bitter finish, active carbonation. Overall, clean, drinkable beer with nice hop bitterness.

Bottle. Dark, slightly hazy gold body with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma is moderately malty with notes of caramel and toast and lightly to moderately hoppy with citrusy grapefruit, orange and flowers. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter, but finishes lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body and smooth texture. Lively carbonation. Unexpected emphasis on malts with nice floral, grapefruit flavors underneath.
