(on tap at Bryden’s, Feb 19 2014) Pours a lightly hazed dark orange with a frothy white head and lots of lace. Aroma has lots of tropical fruit, bit of citrus, slighty dank, moderate caramel malt. On the palate, more tropical fruit, orange rind, slightly resinous, big caramel malt core. There’s a moderately heavy bitterness to the finish and a little noticeable booze that both serve to dry the beer down. Medium-full bodied, average carb, slick. Very nice DIPA with a tasty hop profile, maybe just a little boozy but otherwise well-balanced.
