bottle, rated in June 2017 - Aroma is of apple and bourbon. The flavor is sweet with oak and bourbon. Light to medium bodied. It works fairly well. The barrel aging adds some interest without being overpowering.

Bleh, I had kinda hoped this would be a good one and it started interesting with a nice oaky vanilla note but quickly turned to a really sweet and cloying cider, hint of tartness and carbonation, with the barrel flavors just becoming a little off-putting rather than adding character.

12 oz bottle poured. Pours a dark solid gold color with a fading head. Aroma of some sweet sugary apples. Flavor is interesting, and a bit unexpected. Maple syrup flavor throughout. Kinda a dessert cider. Oakey. Unique for a cider, which I always enjoy. Solid.

Not as pictured, much darker in a brown bottle. Neutral smell. A fairly dark cider. Almost pale brown, one of the darker ciders I can remember. Decent co2 but could use more. Slight sweet with volatile flavors, fer sure you can tell its higher alky. Not sure if the sweet accents make it better or make it hurt. Overall not bad but a little cloying with the variety of unfermented stuff in there. Disappointing for a cider.
