650mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malt upfront, followed by bitter dry hops, espresso and bitter cocoa powder. Flavour brings out a very nice balance of roasted malt and piney hops, along with a touch of espresso and dry cocoa powder. Very well-balanced and not harsh like many [Imperial] black IPAs tend to be. Definitely a hit by Phillips on this one. Excellent.
