Bottiglia.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clearish light gold color with a full 2 fingers of foam. Musty hay, brett, horseblanket and dried citrus peel on the nose. Palate is quite similar, drying finish with lingering citrus peel and pith. Quite nice.

330mL bottled 17OCT20, drunk 7/22/21.
Good clarity in this brassy-bronze bodied beer. White head quickly dissipates.
Wow, they weren't kidding about the old lambic-like nose. Definitely smells of that with plentiful apple and Brett/lacto character. Rustic grains enter the mix keeping things dry with the green gooseberry-like acidity also on the finish. No alcohol or flaw and no clove-banana or anything obnoxious like that.
Dry and bitter in the mouth with wood tannin, light honey and other interesting grain notes. A bit wet or thin through the middle but recovering nicely with light white wine, honey and gooseberry. Funk is mild but apparent throughout and acidity is restrained, easily balancing the highly attenuated character. This is really nice. Saison character is less here than in many, obviously due to the barrel souring. But I do like that there's a substantial texture that isn't purely sugary/sweet. Has a medium body without being overly malty or thick. Still, not overly sour/acidic or anything, nor does lactic acidity dominate. Hops are restrained and everything is quite mild and balanced here.

Bottle split at L6 tasting, cheers, 09/10/19. Hazed light golden yellow with a decent off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, grass, light farmyard notes, grains. Taste comprises lemon rind, hay bale, white peppery spice, funk, yeast esters, oak, grape must. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough saison but I expected more from this one.

Bottle shared at columbus tasting 09/10/2019. Many Thanks! A translucent yellow straw, loose white head. Aroma is nice earthy saison yeast yeast, apple, vanilla, straw, earthy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, apple, cider, wheat, straw, prickly, little bretty funk. Paalte is dry and tart, apple, higjish carboantion. Good.

Fantastiskt gott
