Using generous proportions of lightly-kilned rye malt, this robust bock spent it's infancy cold-fermenting in stainless steel tanks before aging in selected rye barrels still wet from the distillery. Round, roasted sweetness mingles with warm vanilla and finishes with a hint of spice. Enjoy at cellar temperature (4C).

Bottle - Toasted malts, oak, nutty aromas and a bit of alcohol. Clear amber with a thin white head. Toasted malts and quite nutty and earthy. Slight sweet notes, from the rye? Interesting, not quite my taste.

650mL bottle, pours a fairly clear copper / amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out mild rye whiskey, and some German lager yeast. Flavour brings out rye whiskey notes, some dark fruits, a little toffee and some bready malts. Very soft and warming, with a very nice flavour profile. The rye whiskey characterizes this very well. Great stuff.
