Straight from the Phillips’ dept of renegade science comes this super-charged isotope: chemists doubled the brewtrons of spicy rye malt and citrus hops in our Krypton Rye PA recipe to create this hop atomic variant. Careful, it radiates flavour.

Bottle - Earthy hops, spicy, citrus and pine. Clear copper with nice medium head. Upfront some hop sweetness and then right to the bitterness, much like it’s little brother. Nice and thick on the tongue, not bad but too much bitterness.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Nose of relatively restrained (for a IIPA with rye) on the rye notes and citrus hops, though these are really the only two notes that characterize the aroma - and quite a pleasant one. Flavour packs more of a punch, with very skunky hops due to the rye; there's a bit of orange marmalade as another reviewer denoted, with a light malt backbone that doesn't do much. Overall, certainly a bigger wallop than the regular rye PA, but this is inferior - just more skunky and rye-dominated. Gets pretty harsh the more you drink, in an undrinkable way. Decent, but I was hoping for something more "round" and balanced.
