Cascade [cas-cayd]: - Hop; A very popular U.S. variety, with a moderate bitterness level and fragrant, flowery aroma. Cascade is often used in highly hopped West Coast ales that have a sopicy citrus-flral hop character. 12 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Bottle is a bit old, so I'm rating this generously based on how I think this would've drank fresh. Nose and flavour bring out piney hops, dry biscuity malt, and some light herbal notes. Pretty well-balanced, dry and drinkable. Decent but rather banal IPA.

Bottle - Nice mild and balanced grapefruit and flowery nose. Clear gold with a nice long lasting head, great considering a bottle. Obviously as a single hop, the characteristics well displayed but also little complexity. Bitter finish but not overpowering. A great way to understand different hop characteristics.
