Bottle: Almost clear, amber-orange with a smooth beige head. Aroma of caramel malt, grass, hay. Taste is a bit toasty.....caramel malt, a touch of leaves and woody bitter. A very pleasant, solid and comfortable lager.

Bottle. Caramel malt and weedy hay aroma. Amber with large light tan head. Mildly sweet caramel barley malt, and mildly bitter herbal/weedy hay flavor. Good body. 12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 12/11/2017. Pours crystal clear medium orange/amber/light copper color with a 1 finger dense and rocky cream colored head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big cracker, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/caramel, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.4%. Overall this is a delicious Vienna lager! All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Nicely rich Vienna malt flavors with nice hop flavor balance. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Draft pour pint at Safeco Field. Unexpected style for an anniversary beer in my opinion, but if the season lines it up that way, that's cool. Clean and clear copper orange pour with no head. Sweet, toast malt. Thick bodied lager. Good amount of flavor. Decent overall.

12 ounce bottle. Clear copper, large foamy tan head, decent retention. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, grassy hops. The taste is caramel, toasted malt, strong bitter grassy hops. Medium bodied. Not the best.

Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a decent bready malt. Flavor is again a nice toasted bread malt. Maybe a bit on the thin side but this was about what you expect from an American made marzen. Now why you would make a marzen for your anniversary beer is a bit odd but this was not a total throw away beer.
