The Sour Mash Ale is a special brew that honors techniques used predominately in the distillery industry to sour the beer. A lactobacillus fermentation is used on the hot side to sour the beer, and the resulting byproducts carry through to enhance the flavor and aroma. Dry hops add a fresh fruit and grape attribute that blends well with the other wonderful characters in this sour beer.

Draft. Lemon, orange, biscuit malt, yeast, and light sour milk aroma. Cloudy pale yellow with minimal head. Mildly sweet citrus, biscuit malt, moderately sour lactic/citric acid, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Pleasant.
